Paper Cutz Challenge # 15

Good morning!

We're seeing stars over at Paper Cutz Challenge this week. Challenge # 15 is to make a card, LO or craft project with stars! How easy is that?! The prize for the randomly drawn winner is a set of really cute dog and cat rub-ons from American Traditional Designs. You have until midnight EST, November 5th to post your name and a link to your starry creation in the comment section or Mr Linky. Don't have a blog or a way to link your entry? Just send your name and a photo of your creation to the email address on the sidebar at PCC. Be sure you check out the absolutely awesome inspiration the design team has given us for this challenge HERE. They've really done a fantastic job!

For my starry card, I used DCWV pp paper and used a star punch to cut the stars from white glitter paper. The stars are mounted on foam tape. I've learned from past experience not to cut the stars with my Cricut when using this brand of glitter paper! My new mat was ruined and I'm still finding glitter in my little bug from the last time! The ribbon is self adhesive and is from my stash. This is just a quick, simple little card I made as I was getting ready to go to work. It seems that's all I have time for now, with working extra long hours everyday. But it's Friday...Woo Hoo...no work for 2 days!!

Thanks for coming by and looking, guys. Have a fun Halloween and a great weekend!

Hugs,
Mary

New Videos from Cardz TV

Hi Guys,

It's Friday and almost time for the creepy crawlies and things that go bump in the night, to come out for candy! I love to see the kids in their costumes...they're always so cute, especially the little bitty ones. Fun, Fun!

I've been working late every night and have only gotten to make 2 cards this week...Yikes! I'm having withdrawal, lol! If you scroll down, you'll find the 2 videos for these cards. One's for Halloween and the other is a Christmas card.

Many of you have written and asked for an address for KraftyKatsy so that you can send her a get well card. I'm still trying to get an addy for her and when and if I get it, I'll be sure to let you all know. Please continue to keep her in your prayers. She has the most aggresive kind of leukemia, and without the chemo that she's having now, she'd only have about 2 weeks to live. Here is a link to her YouTube video, if you'd like to see it.

Thanks for your prayers for Katsy!

Thanks for watching and have a great weekend, everyone and a fun Halloween!

Get Well Pedestal Card

Good morning guys,

Hope you're all having a good Sunday.

I found out last night that a friend from YouTube is in the hospital and very, very sick. I don't even know her real name, but she's such a sweet person, and I wanted to do something to let her know that I'm thinking of her. I know she has her laptop so she can watch YouTube, so I decided to make her a "video card". Her YouTube name is Krafty Katsy. Please remember her in your prayers, she's very seriously ill. Thanks for your prayers for Katsy and thanks for watching!

Hugs,
Mary

Sew Many Cards Challenge # 9

Good morning guys,

I can't believe we're already on challenge # 9 at Sew Many Cards! Time is flying by and before we know it, it will be Thanksgiving and then Christmas. Yikes!

This week Angela challenged us to make a card using one of her digi's and a sketch. I chose PJ the Penguin. Isn't he the cutest? I colored him using Prisma colored pencils and Sansodor (MCPT). The cs is from Bazzill and pp is from DCWV. The scalloped rectangle was cut using the Cricut Winter Woodland cart and embossed with the Cuttlebug snowflakes folder. Love that Cuttlebug! I also cut the green circle from the WW cart. I added blue rhinestones from my stash and a stamped sentiment from Hampton Arts. No inking or chalking this time, as I wanted to keep the green, blue and white theme clean and crisp.

Be sure to check out all my Sew Many Cards team mates fantastic creations HERE and while you're there, take a look at Angela's wonderful line of digital stamps! AND, don't forget, Freebie Friday, your chance to pick up an adorable FREE digi! You can see the sketch and enter the challenge, by posting your name and a link to your creation, in Mr Linky before midnight, October 26th. The winner gets 3 of Angela's darlin' digi's!! We can't wait to see what you all come up with for this challenge!

Thanks so much for dropping by!

Cricut Snowflake Card

Good morning,

Happy Sunday! Hope it's warm where you are...It's windy and cold here, but the sun's out, shining brightly, and that helps.

Here is a snowflake card I made recently, using Cricut Winter Woodland cart for the snowflake. The green Bazzill cs has been embossed with the Cuttlebug snowflakes folder and the patterned cs at the bottom is American Tradtionals "Snow Day". I got it in a pack of 25 sheets at Biglots for $2.00. I thought that was a pretty good deal, when I've paid $1.00 a sheet for patterned cs at my local sb store. I cut the snowflake 4 times and glued it together to get the thickness of chipboard. The ribbon and rhinestone are from my stash. I may use this as my bulk Christmas card this year, since I have plenty of the patterned cs and it's a quick, super simple card to make. Here's a video showing how quick and easy it is to make this card.

Thanks for watching and for stopping by to say hello! Have a great week!

Mary

Paper Cutz Challenge # 13

Hi Guys!

It's Friday...WOO HOO!! Time for challenge #13 at Paper Cutz Challenge. This week's challenge is to make a card, LO or craft project using a tag or tags. I love this one 'cause I love to make mini tag albums. I made this one for Halloween and can't wait to fill it up with the GK's pictures in their costumes! The cs is from DCWV and I used Cricut TBBM cart to cut my tags. The small tag with a ghost on it is a surprise I found on the cart and I'll be doing a video on it tonight...love it! I cut the ghost with a Sizzix die...didn't have a cart with a ghost on it. The ribbons, button, rick rack and binder rings are all from my stash. I stamped the sentiment in black using a Stampology stamp and colored it with my Prisma colored pencils.

Be sure you go over to PCC and check out all the AWESOME things the design team has done with tags this week! AND, we welcomed 5 wonderfully creative new members to the DT. They are Shelly, Terry, Beth, Mary Ski and Sari. I'm just overwhelmed with the talent and creativity of all the designers on this team! You can check them out HERE. When you get to PCC, make sure you click on each designers name and go see all the fantastic creations on their blogs. And, BTW, don't forget to enter the challenge this week!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Paper Cutz Challenge # 12

Good morning everyone!

It's time for Paper Cutz Challenge # 12. This week's challenge is to make a card, LO or craft project using only the colors red, black and white. Easy peasy, guys! You've gotta try this one. Just leave your name and a link to your creation in Mr Linky by midnight EST, Thursday, October 15th. The design team has some great inspiration for you, so be sure to check it out HERE.

Here's my take on the red, black and white challenge. I used Bazzill cs for my simple skater silhouette card and I ran the red cs through my new Cuttlebug, using the swirls folder. The ribbon and rhinestones are from my stash. The skater was cut from Cricut cart Winter Woodland. I think the color combo makes the card look very elegant. Here's a video of my card, and I thank you so much for watching!

Have a great day everyone and don't forget to enter PCC # 12! Now head on over and check it out!

Sew Many Cards Challenge # 7

Good morning guys!

Today's challenge at Sew Many Cards was to make a friendship card using red or yellow. Angela said we could use any of her digi's we wanted, so I chose Donkey sitting on a rock drinking coffee. He was a special request by Jennifer on the DT. She LOVES coffee! Angela did a great job and he turned out really cute. I colored him with Prisma colored pencils and mounted him and the coffee pot on foam tape. The coffee pot was cut with Cricut From My Kitchen cart. I rounded the corners of the beige colored card and ran it through the Cuttlebug using the swiss dots folder, and distressed all the edges with brown ink. Can't remember where I got the pp, but the ribbon is from American crafts. It's just a very simple little Friendship card.

Be sure you go check out all the awesome cards done by the DT this week and don't forget Freebie Friday! You can enter Sew Many Cards challenge HERE and see the great prize Angela is giving away to the winner of challenge # 7.

Thanks for stopping by!

Cricut From My Kitchen Birthday Card

Good morning!

Hope your Monday is starting off well. The weekend was very busy and went way too fast for me.

Yesterday was my Son-in-law's birthday and we all went to dinner to celebrate. We had a really good time. Here's the card I made for him, using the Cricut From My Kitchen cart to cut the rooster. I mounted him on the card with foam tape. The pp is Wild Asparagus and the spiral clip is from Making Memories. Everything was distressed with brown ink. This cart has a lot of cuts that you can use for other things besides just cooking or kitchen LO's or cards. I'm really enjoying using it and I do plan on doing a recipe mini album soon.

Have a great day everyone and thanks for coming by to see me!

Hugs,
Mary

Paper Cutz Challenge # 11

Hi guys!

This week's challenge at Paper Cutz is to make a card, LO or craft project using a pumpkin pie recipe! This one wasn't as easy as the last 2 challenges, but I think it was fun. Use any colors or embellies you'd like, just be sure you include the recipe. Leave your name and a link to your creation only (not your blog, please), in Mr Linky, by midnight EST, Thursday, October 8th. So, get out your cookbooks, ladies and go enter Paper Cutz Challenge HERE! And be sure to check out the awesome inspiration that the design team has given us this week!

My take on this week's challenge uses an old standby recipe from Libby's canned pumpkin. I used my Cricut From My Kitchen cart to cut my pie and ran the "filling" through my new Cuttlebug (WOOHOO!!) with the swiss dots folder. The little smiley face pumpkin was cut with my Doodle Charms cart. The ribbon is from 3 Birds and I think the pp is from Bo Bunny, but I'm not sure? The pie and pumpkin are mounted on foam tape and everything is distressed with brown ink. I really had fun making this card, but it made me want pumpkin pie so much, that DH and I had to go out to Big Boy last night, and get a big warm slice of pie with whipped cream, and a cup of hot coffee...it was so good!!

Paper Cutz challenge has decided to grow and add 4 more team members to the Design Team! If you're interested in becoming a member, send me an email, including pictures of some of your recent cards, LO's or craft projects, and tell me something about yourself. Your commitment to the team is one card, LO or craft project per week. My email address is: sophiesmama09@gmail.com The DT call will remain open until October 15th. Hope to hear from all you talented crafters, scrapbookers and cardmakers!

Thanks for stopping by today, guys! Have a great weekend and don't forget to go over and enter Paper Cutz Challenge!

Hugs,
Mary
