Video Tutorial # 10 Mini Tag Album

Hi guys,
Hope you all had a great 4th! As the weatherman predicted, we had lots of rain. We had to watch the fireworks in the car with the windshield wipers going, lol! The rain clouds were so low that we could only see the bottom half of the fireworks when they exploded. It was definitely a fireworks display like I've never seen before!

I made this little mini tag album video earlier today. The papers are from DCWV and the ribbon from my stash. You can get the binder rings at an office supply store and sometimes Walmart has them. The size needs to be from 3/4" to 1". Hope you enjoy the video. Thanks so much for watching and taking time out of your day to stop by!
Have a great Sunday!
Blessings,
Mary

Reminder CFU Sketch Challenge #2

Hi guys,
Just a reminder to be sure and leave a comment with a link to your card for CFU Sketch Challenge #2. The deadline is midnight tonight. I'll be posting the cards in the morning along with Sketch #3. Hope you're all having a good day. I'm ready for the big 3 day weekend coming up. WOO HOO! Can't wait!

I made a quick card this morning before coming to work but didn't have time to photograph and post it. I'll do it when I get home later this afternoon. My friend Janis @ Pause Dream Enjoy loves the Cricut Paper Pups cartridge. Yesterday was her birthday, so I made the card using Paper Pups in honor of her birthday.

Here's another look at last Friday's sketch. Leave me a link!

Thanks for stopping by!
Hugs,
Mary

CFU Friday Sketch Challenge #2

Good morning!
We had some whopper doozy storms and heavy rain yesterday afternoon and all through last night. I'll bet we got 2 inches of rain! We definitely don't need anymore for a while. The sun is shining today and I hope it's a sunny day where you are.

Here are the rules for this Friday's challenge: You can use any paper, embellishment, color or subject you want. The flowers on the sketch can be any embellishment you want, or you can even put your sentiment there. You can turn or flip the sketch if you'd like. Just follow the basic outline and submit your entry by midnight on Thursday, July 2nd. All submissions will be posted next Friday. You can even use this as a scrapbook page layout if you want. C'mon everybody and don't be shy! I've seen your cards and layouts and I know you can do this! Just leave a comment and tell me where I can find your card or LO. I'm looking for members for a new design team, so I need lots of entries!

I hope to be back later today with a new video tutorial using the Cricut Wild Card cartridge. Have a great day everyone and thanks for checking in!
Blessings,
Mary

Toilet Paper Roll Mini Album

I'm so excited about this little album! It's so stinkin' cute, I can't stand it. It's made from toilet paper rolls and bits of ribbon and paper scraps. Scrapbooking and recycling at the same time... I love it! You need at least 3 toilet paper rolls. Flatten each one and cover with paper. Punch 2 holes for binder rings, in the end of each flattened roll. Put an eyelet in each hole and flatten with a crop-a-dile or eyelet setting tool. Put all three (or more) rolls on binder rings and close. Tie ribbons on each binder ring. Cut a tag approximately 2 1/2" x 4" for each roll. Put an eyelet with ribbon or staple a ribbon pull on each tag. Embellish tags and album pages (tp rolls) with photos, quotes, etc. Insert a tag in each pocket that was created by the flattened roll and there you have it! An adorable little album to keep or give as a gift, made from toilet paper rolls! So far, I've embellished the front of mine with a paper flower that I punched out of a coffee filter and then inked pink. I also had the "Live, Laugh, Love" chipboard piece that I put on the front. This was so much fun to make, that I want to make more. The problem is, there are only 2 of us and we don't use toilet paper fast enough for me to make another album for awhile! LOL!
Blessings! ~M~

4x4 Tag Album

Hi, it's a rainy Saturday afternoon and I just finished this little 4x4 mini tag album. Had this one piece of Cloud 9 cardstock left and it just seemed to be the perfect paper for this album. As you can see, I'm still in my pink and green phase. It was really simple to make and took about 45 minutes, with measuring, inking and figuring out as I went. Don't know who I'm going to give it to, but now I have a little gift ready for someone. Got an email from the library, and I've been asked to do another card workshop! This one will be on "Moms, Dads and Grads". It will be in early May, so that gives me time to come up with some ideas for what we'll be making. I'm already excited! Time to get ready for church. Bye! ~M~

Sophie's album

Good morning or afternoon, I'm not sure which. We're back to Daylight Saving Time, so we lost an hour of sleep. Here are a few pages from an album I started for Sophie when she was just a few months old. Wasn't she adorable? I've got to put some more pages in it now that she's an old lady of two and a half!
Have a blessed Sunday!

Mini-album

Good morning! The sun is shining brightly, but it's still freezing cold outside. I can hardly wait for Spring to get here. DH is out of town for the day on a job, so I've been working on a mini-album. I'll still have to go to work later, but I was able to get a lot done on it. I couldn't sleep the other night, and was going to get up and make a card, but it turned into the album instead. I worked on putting it together until 3 am that night. Last night I couldn't sleep again, but made myself stay in bed and plan how I wanted to embellish my album. This morning I started on it and I'm really liking how it's turning out. I'm going to put pictures of myself, my brother and sisters in it, from when we were very young. Here's what I've gotten done so far...the cover and the first 2 pages. I really like the brown, pink and green together and I've almost used up my brown ink pad, giving it that "shabby-chic" look. And of course, I used my Cricut to cut out my flower, scalloped circles and initial for my cover. Don't know how I ever made a card or did a scrapbook page before I got my Cricut!
Got to go to work now...have a good day, everyone!
