This week at Sew Many Cards, Angela asked us to make a stair step card using one of her adorable digi's. I'd never done one before and was kind of worried about whether or not I could make one. They are SO easy, anyone can make one! I made this video to show you how simple it is to fold a stair step card. You have until midnight, Monday, October 5th to make and enter your stair step card using one of Angela's digi's. To enter Sew Many Cards challenge # 6, just leave your name and a link to your card in Mr Linky. Be sure to check out all the awesome cards my team mates have made HERE, and don't forget New Release Monday and Freebie Friday!
Hope you all had a good weekend. It went too fast, as usual. I was sick all weekend, but had to make this card for my GS, Luke, who's turning 5! I used Bazzill CS and the brad is from Making Memories. I got the shiny silver paper at Walmart, but don't remember the brand name. I used Cricut Everyday Paper Dolls to cut the boy, his clothes and the bike. It's not one of my best cards, but Luke didn't mind. Can't believe he's 5!
Happy Sunday! Hope you're having a good weekend. I wanted to tell you about a site I found. "B is for Button" is the challenge for this week at Paper Cutz Challenge. Make a card, LO or craft project using at least 3 buttons. Use any theme or colors you'd like, and post your name and a link to your creation in Mr Linky by Midnight EST, Thursday, October 1st. This one's easy peasy, so come on and join in, guys!
This little teapot card is my take on this week's challenge. I used Bazzill cs and DCWV pp. The teapot and cups were cut using Cricut Everyday Paper Dolls, mounted on foam tape, and everything was distressed with brown ink and chalk. The buttons and decorative trim are from my stash. I saw a version of the poem awhile back, and just changed it up a little to suit the card. I love the little teapot and cups, and had been wanting to use them on a card. The tiny, little heart on the teapot, was cut with a Sizzix die. Be sure to check out all the awesome PCC Design Team creations HERE. They're really inspiring this week!
Thanks for coming by to see me today, and thanks for all your wonderful comments!
Time for another challenge at Sew Many Cards. This week Angela challenged us to make a card using her digi, Donkey. He's so cute and looks so sad and soulful. He just tugs at your heart. There are many images of Donkey, but I chose Donkey with a boot, for my card. I colored him with MCPT, cut him out and mounted him on foam tape. The CS is Bazzill and PP is DCWV. The ribbon is from American Crafts and the silver brads are from Making Memories. The edges of all the papers and Donkey, were sponged with black ink to give depth and dimension. Be sure to head over to Sew Many Cards HERE and check out all the FAB DT examples for this week, and enter this fun challenge. And don't forget Freebie Friday! Angela always has one of her awesome digi's for you to download, FREE!
Have great Tuesday, everyone and thanks for stopping by today!

I can't believe we're already up to Paper Cutz Challenge # 9! Time is flying by and before we know it, Christmas will be here. Now's a good time to get started on all those Christmas cards, before we get too busy with Halloween, Thanksgiving, and all that Christmas shopping.
For this week's challenge, make a card, LO or craft project for Christmas with LOTS of bling! You need to get out all your shiniest paper, glitter, stickles, rhinestones, etc. and enter this challenge! What could be easier and more fun! Just post your name and a link to your entry in Mr Linky by midnight (EST), Thursday, September 24th. A winning name will be drawn at random on Friday, September 25th. The winner will get Martha Stewart Dimensional Gem Stickers!
Here's the very sparkly Christmas card I made for the challenge. I found this shiny, prismatic paper at Walmart and knew it was what I wanted to use on this card. As you turn the paper, you see a rainbow of colors! I used the Cricut Winter Woodland cart to cut the beautiful deer out of the prismatic paper, and also the word "Joy" in white. The deer is mounted on foam tape. The snowflake was cut with my Martha Stewart punch. I used white cs for the 4 1/2 x 6 1/4 card and sponged the edges with pastel blue ink. I cut a mat from the prismatic paper and then layered DCWV pp on that. The silver ribbon is from my stash. What'd 'ya think...is it sparkly enough?
Be sure to put on your sunglasses before you go over to Paper Cutz Challenge HERE and check out all the beautiful creations from the DT this week!
Thanks for stopping by and for all your very nice and much appreciated comments!
Today is challenge # 4 at Sew Many Cards. This week Angela asked us to make a card using this sketch.
I've got to admit, I had so much trouble making this card. Not because of the sketch or Miki the monkey. I just couldn't find the right paper, the first embellishments weren't right, so I changed them, I colored Miki with my Bic markers and he came out too dark. I could go on and on! Where is my mojo when I need it?!! LOL! I'm still NOT happy with this card, but enough of my whining! I used Bazzill CS and the PP and "funny monkey" sticker are from Reminisce. The ribbon is from American Crafts and I cut the palm trees from Cricut Cart Stretch Your Imagination. The edges of the yellow CS are inked with brown ink. Be sure to check out the other DT members AWESOME cards and enter the challenge HERE. Angela's got a great prize for the winner, and don't forget Freebie Friday!
Hope your weekend has been going great! Today is my son's birthday and I decided to make his card using the Cricut Everyday Paper Dolls cart. I'm just crazy about that cart! I used Bazzill cs and DCWV pp. The little "rocker" and his guitar are mounted on pop dots, and I outlined his hair with a white gel pen and then went around everything with chalk and brown ink, for depth and dimension. The sentiment was printed on my computer. Hope my son likes his card. Happy birthday, Tim!
Here's the short little video. Thanks for watching, everyone!
Labor day is over, school's back in session and it's time to start thinking of Fall! Don't know about you, but Fall is my favorite season of the year. Cool days and nights, the beautiful orange, gold and red leaves on the trees, the smell of woodsmoke as people start having fires in their fireplaces! I love it!
In honor of the coming Fall season, Paper Cutz Challenge # 8 is an A, B, C/Fall challenge. Make a card, LO or craft project for Fall using only ONE item from each letter:
A: Apples, Acorns or Autumn Leaves
B: Buttons, Brads or Bows
C: Circles, Charms or Crocheted Embellies
I think this one will be fun and shouldn't be too hard. You can use any colors you'd like. Just post your name and a link to your entry in Mr Linky by midnight, September 17th. Be sure to check out all the great DT members creations. They're a very talented and inspiring group of ladies! So, come on over and get inspired HERE, and join in on the challenge this week! This week's winner will receive Hot Off The Press Halloween Brads and Brad Buddies! They're really cute and I'd like to have them myself!
For my card, I decided to use this squirrel sitting on an acorn, from Cricut cart Stretch Your Imagination. I think he's so cute. I used Bazzill cs and inked and chalked the edges of everything for added dimension, and mounted the squirrel and acorns on pop dots. The button, spiral clip and ribbon are from my stash.
Here's a video of my card. Thanks for watching!
Have a great weekend, everyone and thanks for coming by to see me! Now, head on over to Paper Cutz Challenge and check it out!
It's time for challenge # 3 at Sew Many Cards/Sewn Together. This week Angela has challenged us to make a Christmas card using the Sewn Together digital stamp of our choice. They are all so cute that the hard part of this challenge was deciding which one of those darling digi's to use, LOL!
I chose Tayla tucked inside a Christmas stocking. I colored the image using MCPT, cut it out and mounted it on pop dots. The CS is Bazzill, pp is from DCWV, and ribbon from my stash. The scalloped oval was cut using the Cricut Storybook cart. I stamped the sentiment and used a red Bic marker for doodle dots around the scallops. Everything was distressed with brown ink around the edges.
You can check out all my fellow DT members fantastic cards, and enter the challenge yourself HERE. And don't forget Freebie Friday! Angela always a free digi, and sometimes 2, every Friday. This is a fun way to get started on your christmas cards this year, so go on over and join in on the challenge! The prize for this week's winner is 3 free digi's and a set of HOTP Christmas word stamps!
Have a wonderful Tuesday, everyone and thanks for stopping by!

Good morning!
It's week # 7 at Paper Cutz Challenge and this week the challenge is to make a card or LO using this sketch! You can use any colors or theme you'd like or flip the sketch sideways. The DT has some great inspiration for you, so go check it out HERE and leave your name and a link to your entry in Mr Linky by midnight, Thursday, September 10th.
Here's my take on this week's sketch. I used my new Hero Arts owl stamp and colored him using my colored pencils and OMS. The cs and pp are from my stash, as well as the red gingham ribbon. I cut the snowflakes with the Cricut Winter Woodland cart and used a Bic marker to color the clear rhinestone centers red. I used brown ink to distress around the card, owl and sentiment. I love owls and this set of stamps is just the cutest!
Head on over to Paper Cutz Challenge and check out all the awesome DT examples and be sure to enter your card or layout by midnight next Thursday! There's another great prize for the winner!

I'm thinking of my Dad today. We lost him on September 3, 2004. It's been 5 years today. Daddy loved all kinds of music. He really liked Marty Robbins, so I went looking on Youtube for a Marty Robbins video. This was one of Daddy's favorite songs by Marty. So here it is for you, Daddy. Hope ya'll enjoy it too. Thanks for stopping by!
Here's a quick little video of my BIL's birthday card using Cricut Everyday Paper Dolls. Love that cart!! I used Bazzill cs & DCWV pp. The brads are from Making Memories. Thanks for watching!
Gotta go to work...I'm late. Yikes! Have a good one everybody!
It's time for challenge # 2 at Sew Many Cards/Sewn Together. This week Angela challenged us to make a Halloween card using a Sewn Together digi. The really challenging part is that we could only use purple, red, yellow, pink or white! It was a tough one, but it's fun thinking outside the box sometimes and seeing what you can come up with. I chose Miki the monkey dressed as a little ghost. I colored him using MCPT and inked and shadowed the edges of everything with purple ink. I had a candy corn stamp, so I colored the candy using the allowed colors, and cut it out, mounted it on foam tape and postioned it down the side of the image. All the paper and cs came from my stash. This was a challenging, but fun card to make. I think he turned out kinda cute. What'd ya'll think? Make sure you check out all the great Halloween cards designed by the awesome design team at Sew Many Cards HERE and pick up a Halloween digi and enter the challenge! You might win 5 of Angela's adorable digi's!
