Gingham and Pearls
Good morning,
Hope you all had a good weekend, had some fun, and got some rest. It rained here all weekend, so I stayed in, did laundry, some cooking and cleaning, and put card kits together for Thursday's workshop. I also made a card, and worked on my first video tutorial. I'm so excited! I hope to have it finished and ready to post in a few days.
Putting those pearls on this card was so aggravating! They're so tiny, and kept rolling away. I tried holding them with my tweezerbees, but that just caused them to go shooting across the room...lol! Anyway, here's the card, but I'm not very happy with it, and my photo is crooked. Does anyone know where I can find self-adhesive pearls?
Have a good Monday and thanks for stopping by!
Blessings,
~M~

The card is great! I don't see the crookedness either.
Pearls take a little to get used to. I use them a lot in my cards too, but I use the ones for necklaces so they don't roll away so much. I just keep them in a shallow dish so that when I use my tweezerbees they don't have far to go.
You can get the self-adhesive ones at Michaels, but I found that they are way more expensive than just the package of beads and they udually come in strips- you can cut them off one at a time. Another option is the ribbon with beads on them and you can cut parts of the ribbon.
Thanks Angela, for the compliment and the tips! These are the pearls used for necklaces, but they are so stinkin' small, I had trouble putting them on.
This card is beautiful! I think it might be one of my favorite cards you have ever done!!!! I have adhesive gems that I got at the LSS forver ago (Heidi Swapp, I think). I bet you can get pearls @ Michael's!
Seriously... BEAUTIFUL!
Thank you Lynn! I just can't get over the aggravation with those pearls, so that I can ever like this card. Silly, huh? I do thank you for the compliment though!
Love 'ya!
Just found this site that might be of interest
