For Mother

Hi guys,
Today would have been my Mother's 81st birthday. It's hard to believe Mother has been gone for 16 years. I miss her very much. She was only 65 when she passed away in 1994. Mother always smelled like roses, her favorite movie was "Mrs. Miniver", and one of her favorite songs was "I'll walk alone". I found this version by Jo Stafford. This is for you, Mother.

I'm a Paper Queen at Paper Playtime!

Hi guys!

Have you checked out Janis's new challenge blog Paper Playtime? The theme this week is "In thy face I see Honor, Truth & Loyalty". I get to be Paper Queen this week...Whoo Hoo!...and this is the card I created for inspiration. Hope you like it!

This card is 5x5, but I think I'm going to resize it to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 to meet the requirements of Operation Write Home. I'd like to make several of these to send to our troops to thank them for their service to our country. Here are the cut sizes for this card:

White Card 5x5
Blue mat 4 3/4 x 4 3/4
White mat 1 3/4 x 4 1/2
Red mat 1 1/2 x 4
2 white mats 2 1/4 x 2 1/2
2 blue mats 2 x 2 1/4

Be sure to click HERE to go over and join in the fun challenges at Paper Playtime! Janis has a new challenge and, a new Paper Queen every Monday!

Thanks for coming by, guys! Have a great week!

Hugs,
Mary
